Sooo, where to begin? I’m Corin. I’m a creative copywriter and editorial team lead with 8+ years experience creating content within the fashion, luxury lifestyle and beauty industries.
I’m currently freelancing for the UK remotely from Spain (Malaga to be precise).
In my portfolio you’ll find digital and print assets of every kind, including social posts, ads, posters, product descriptions, editorial, blog posts, magazines, POS, website banners, landing pages, third-party e-comm, online features, catwalk reports, exhibition reviews, poetry, billboards and more.
My strengths include writing compelling, diverse copy for large-scale marketing campaigns, developing TOV, guiding brands in terms of creative strategy, and aiding creative direction.
My most recent role – Lead Brand Journalist for OLIVER Agency – was dedicated to OLIVER’s biggest account – Unilever Beauty & Personal Care. Based internally at the London U-Studio, with a highly reactive, collaborative approach, I co-created multiple forms of global digital content for brands such as Dove, TRESemme, Simple, Love Beauty & Planet, Axe, Impulse, Signal, Rexona and much more, while managing a team of highly skilled writers. From concept to production, I wrote, subedited, oversaw, challenged, and enhanced copy, as well as researching trends, defining best-practice, and offering guidance to brands as experts in crafting copy and TOV within the beauty industry.
I was previously International Senior Copywriter for The Body Shop. As copy team lead, I worked closely with the Creative Director to steer brand direction. I managed two amazing copywriters – as a team we created copy across every platform, for every department, for 66 countries worldwide.
Before I joined The Body Shop back in 2016, I spent six months travelling around Thailand, Indonesia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Japan and Vietnam, writing along the way. It was an unforgettable experience; one that really taught me the value of pushing boundaries and taking risks.
With an English degree from the University of Exeter, I have also worked for: The White Company (Senior Writer), New Look (E-commerce Fashion Copywriter, promoted to Assistant Content Editor); WJ London (Freelance Writer covering London Fashion Week); and Confidential Publishing (Editorial Assistant).
I enjoy long-distance running and ran the 2019 London Marathon for Leukaemia Care.
I’m currently writing a book: a memoir dedicated to suicide prevention.
